Everyday Bread

This is a basic everyday bread recipe. You can make it once a week to have fresh bread for your sandwiches and meals. The recipe is originally from Make the Bread Buy the Butter but modified to make a lighter loaf.
Ingredients1 Tsp instant yeast.3 1/2 Cups water (120-130° F)5 1/2 Cups all-purpose flour1 3/4 Cups whole-wheat flour1/3 Cup flaxseeds (ground)4 Tsp kosher salt1 Tbs honeyNeutral vegetable oil, for greasing. InstructionsOil the inside of two 9 by 5-inch metal loaf pans.In a large bowl add yeast and honey to water and mix. This mixture should form a foamy layer (like beer foam) on top after sitting for about ten minutes.Add flour, flaxseed, salt and honey. Mix just until blended (do not overmix).Scrape the dough into the pans. Drape with a clean damp dish towel and let rise in an oven at 90° to 100° for 2 hours until level with the top of the pans.Preheat oven to 450° F.Bake loaves for 30 minutes.Remove the bread from the pans, return to the oven and bake directly on the rack…

Sweet Soy-Glazed Chicken Wings

Ingredients For the Chicken1/4 Cup packed dark brown sugar1/4 Cup soy sauce2 Tbs sake4 Medium garlic cloves, minced3 Lbs chicken wings, separated into 2 pieces, wing tips removed and discarded For the Sauce1/4 Cup packed dark brown sugar1/4 Cup soy sauce2 Tbs finely chopped fresh pineapple2 Tbs sake1 Tbs white wine vinegar1 Tbs naturally sweetened pineapple juice1 Med. garlic clove, minced1 Tbs cornstarch dissolved in 1 Tbs cold water To Serve 1 Tsp toasted sesame seeds
